This will be a fairly simple and straightforward post, but I need to tell you about the most comfortable sweater set I’ve ever owned. It’s the Hailee Sweater Set from Free People, as all of the best items are, and is one of those outfits you know you will want to wear every day. 

I ordered the color heather grey in a medium when I was 9 months pregnant. It fit me great then and now at 5 months postpartum, I want to get another color in a small. I can still wear the medium comfortably, but size down for sure. This set has a loose fit and is easy to keep clean. Watch for snags (like velcro swaddles) and don’t dry on high heat.

Other brands I love for postpartum wear:

• @freepeople \ @fpmovement – (obviously)
• @allinmotion.target – I bought the biggest sweats they had for the first few weeks after baby. So glad I had them because nothing fit in my closet for the first two weeks I was so swollen.
• @beyondyoga – sets like BUTTER. You won’t want to sweat in these even though thats what they’re made for. The sets don’t offer a ton of support up top, but are my favorite for lounging and running errands because they are luxurious and look very chic. They have a maternity line I wanted to try, but I was able to wear my regular leggings throughout my entire pregnancy.
• @lululemon – specifically the Align Short and the Power Pivot Tank Top
• @blanqi – I lived in their maternity leggings from 4 months on. tip: after you have your baby, wear your maternity leggings backward so the x support band in the back provides compression to your abdominals. The abdominal stability felt so good. Also, I loved the postpartum girlshort this summer.
• @aerie – Bought my first postpartum bikini here and they have great lounge sets, too. Aerie doesn’t photoshop any of their models and are all about body positivity down to the experience you have in their dressing room.
