Curating The Vibe You Want Postpartum

This week we’ve talked a lot about boundaries around our energy and spaces. It’s not about having a perfect house- it’s about honoring your space and keeping the energy clean where you are raising your family. As you can tell by now, I am very into how the energy around me feels and from experience, I know that just a little bit of intentionality around your comfort can go such a long way.
I want my home to feel positive, light, comfortable, and grounding – like a sanctuary. A powerful tool I learned is to just observe the energy around me without judging or naming it. I just feel what is around me and then do whatever I feel like I need to do to elevate the situation and be more comfortable. Things like lighting a candle, spraying essential oils, turning on music, putting flowers out, opening the window, instantly make things more peaceful to me and in turn, my baby. I focused on this a lot when I was pregnant and I promised myself I would carry this with me through birth and postpartum. I just wanted more than anything (and still do) to have peace for my baby.
So going into birth and postpartum, I was extremely focused and thoughtful around how I wanted things to feel in my birth room and in my home while I was recovering and brought in things that were small and simple but made a big difference in setting the tone or the vibe in the house postpartum. This is going to be so unique and personal to each individual, so do what feels right to you as always. I will share the things I loved below.
