Your Postpartum Oxytocin List

Postpartum hormones. They can be a real bitch.
But not all hormones should have a bad reputation. Oxytocin for example is also known as “the love hormone.” Oxytocin strengthens bonds, positive personality traits, and overall makes you feel good. Oxytocin is produced naturally when we breastfeed, have an orgasm, share a hug, and move our bodies. When I was feeling down postpartum or anxious I would refer to my Oxytocin list that was full of things that make me feel good. I knew how easy it could be to defer to unhealthy habits like scrolling on social or eating junk food to get a “hit.” Now that I know I can naturally boost Oxytocin, it felts like a game-changer to me because I could have a plan of action when things got chaotic.
We all need a boost every now and then (especially postpartum), so let’s break down natural ways to boost your oxytocin.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
???? meditate
